Trading Statement

Sales for the 39 weeks and the 13 weeks ended 28th September 2008 amounted to £48.1m (2007: £49.5m) and £14.7m (2007: £15.4m) respectively. Same outlet sales for the 39 weeks and the 13 weeks ended 28th September 2008 declined by 2.0% and 2.3% respectively. During the 9 month period Georgica, on average, operated 38 outlets compared with 39 in the previous year.  Since 28th September same outlet sales have been higher than last year.

Two further outlets are due to open in the next 8 weeks at Wrexham and Sunderland. Following these openings, Georgica has no further material capital commitments which, in its view, are not terminable. 

As at 28th September, net debt amounted to debt of £1.8m. During the 52 weeks ended 28th September 2008, the bowling operations generated EBITDA* of £8.5m. Had Wrexham and Sunderland been open for the whole of that period, your board believes that this figure would have been higher.

The talks with parties interested in acquiring Georgica continue. Detailed due diligence was first made available to such parties at the end of September. A further announcement will be made in due course.

In accordance with Rule 2.10 of the Takeover Code, Georgica Plc confirms that it has 97,422,700 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in issue ("Ordinary Shares") and 2,538,075 convertible ordinary shares of 50 pence each which would convert to 10,152,300 Ordinary Shares on a full conversion.

In accordance with Rule 28.3 (b) of the Takeover Code, the Company has instructed PwC to report on the EBITDA* figure of £8.5m for the last 12 months from Georgica's management accounts. A further announcement including this report will be made in due course.
